The challenge:

Buffelspark Service Station & Convenience Centre is a filling station with public toilet facilities, carwash, butchery, hair salon, restaurant, pub/bar, and several other retail tenants. The facility, which generates up to 30,000ℓ of wastewater per day, is not in the vicinity of a centralised sewerage system and therefore required an on-site disposal or recycling system.

The solution:

Biobox supplied and installed an Enpura^® Submerged Aerated Fixed Film Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) to receive and treat the wastewater generated from this facility. The wastewater was then recycled and irrigated to the green spaces surrounding the facility.

Capacity:

The Biobox Enpura^® STP is designed to treat up to 30,000ℓ/day with an influent COD of 1,200mg/ℓ to an acceptable standard for discharge to irrigation.
